Hello everyone, this week in nursery the children have enjoyed continuing looking for signs on Spring, especially on explorers. Although it was quite a drizzly the morning, we found plenty shoots, and flowers, and even got to work finding natural materials to write our names. As the weather was slightly wet, we decided to have snack inside the bivy tent. The children loved seeing how being inside the tent change the colours of their jackets!
This week, all of the children have planted two sunflower seeds in their own pot - we first ventured over to the poly tunnel to fill the pots with compost, ensuring to write their names on a label so we can keep track of who's who, and then planting their seeds with Mrs Roberts. We can't wait to watch our flowers grow!
We had a very exciting morning on Thursday, with our first visit from the buddies! Most of the children enjoyed showing their buddies their favourite parts of the nursery garden!
We hope you enjoy the photos and have a lovely long weekend.
Hello everyone and welcome back! We hope you all had a lovely Easter break. Our topic this week has been signs of Spring as the children have enjoyed looking around the nursery garden, and out on explorers, for different ways that we know it is Spring. When on Explorers, the children enjoyed using surveys to mark make what signs they saw during their walk - there was lots of shoots and daffodils to find!
As the weather has been excellent, the children have enjoyed a lot of outdoor play. In keeping with our topic, many of the children have made fat balls for the birds, creating our new window display and learning all about the plant life cycle.
In preparation for bike-a-lings, starting next week, we decided to have a shot on the pedal and balance bikes. Many of the children loved showing off their excellent knowledge of bike safety - we are all very much looking forward to next week!
We hope you enjoy the photos, and have a lovely weekend!
