P6/7

Our Highlights from Term 1 - by Chloe and Mara

Most importantly, we have a new head teacher, Tavs Laurie, and some new class teachers, Mrs Dingwall and Mrs McDonell. We also have new head pupils, Jonah as Head Boy and Chloe as Head Girl. The school was also repainted and new doors were placed in the corridors.

In Term One we had a one school trip which was a robot programming trip. We all enjoyed it very much.

In September, the Deshar P6s came to our school for Academy9, a workshop in which we discovered 3 different jobs to do with the dualling of the A9.

We hosted Abernethy Primary School’s first ever Tattiefest’22, which was great!

The P6/7 class spent a lot of time with Lynne in the polytunnel, doing all sorts of fun activities like taste-testing and planting!

For our Space topic, we did lots of fun and interesting experiments and artworks, including planet posters, Hubble telescope artwork, balloon rockets and much more! We also went on a Space Walk where we got to understand the huge distances between the planets.

Term One was a really fun term, with lots of exciting activities and interesting experiments, and Term 2 was just as good!
