Abernethy Primary School is a school consisting of four primary classes, from P1 to P7 and an Early Learning and Childcare setting, serving the village of Nethy Bridge and the surrounding area. The school is part of a cluster arrangement with Deshar Primary School in Boat of Garten. Although the schools work closely together, there are still many elements which make each school unique.
Abernethy Primary School is part of the associated school group belonging to Grantown Grammar School in Grantown. The school is located in the Abernethy Forest on the outskirts of Nethy Bridge and its large grounds are surrounded by beautiful woodland.
There are currently 89 pupils enrolled in the primary school and 19 in the ELC. The school has 17 staff members (To learn more about our staff members click here). The management team at Abernethy Primary School consists of one cluster head teacher and one principal teacher.
At Abernethy we strive to create a happy, caring and welcoming environment for all our pupils, parents, staff and visitors. Parents are invited into the school to attend pupil consultation meetings, information workshops, assemblies and concerts or to offer support as volunteers. We issue regular newsletters to keep parents informed about events and activities and the Abernethy Primary School Website and class blogs deliver up-to-date news, information and photographs.
Our school is always open to parents. If you have any queries or concerns about your child, please contact their teacher in the first instance or myself.
