Weeks commencing 4th, 11th and 18th December 2023
We have had a very busy last few weeks of term! Our fun in the snow continued for a few more days, making snow angels and having a snowball fight. We found a nice sunny spot in the "big" garden to have our snack outside. When the snow had disappeared we made our own snow man pictures using flour and a sieve. The children gave their flour snowmen arms, noses and a buff to keep them warm!
We had a Stay, Play and Learn, lots of fun showing our adults what we do in Nursery. We hope you all enjoyed the morning, exploring all the toys with your child. We loved having you visit.
We explored and learned about personal space using carpet squares and making sure our arms and hands did not touch each other.
We had a lovely Christmas lunch in nursery, some of the children came dressed up in their Christmas jumpers. It was yummy-especially the gingerbread man and the ice cream!
We practiced hard for the Christmas performance, learning our "Christmas Pudding" song and making our costumes. On the Tuesday morning we performed before the "Young at Heart" group before the the official performance in the evening. Didn't all your children do well, they were real stars!
Wednesday was our Christmas Party, lots of fun, dancing and games. the children walked up the school to the canteen singing "Jingle Bells" while shaking their bell sticks. The only time we are allowed to be loud in the corridors. We had a lovely snack in the canteen before returning to Nursery.....when Santa came to visit!!
Later we went on our Troll walk to give him his Christmas food. The children gave him lots of mince pies and Christmas puddings to keep him going until after the holidays.
We would like say a big "Thank You" to all the parents and children for their lovely Christmas presents, very kind of you all. Thank You.
We wish you all a lovely peaceful Christmas and New Year.
Look forward to hearing all the children's news when we come back to Nursery on Monday 8th January 2024.
