On this page, you can read about everything that we are up to in Primary 1/2 this year.
We have taken full advantage of the sunshine this week and enjoyed taking some of toys from the classroom to use in the playground. We have had lots of fun creating pictures with chalk, pretending to build dinosaur forts and reading of course.
DRESSING UP
The class love dressing up however we have noticed that as we have been growing big and strong, not all of our fancy dress items fit. If you have any dressing up items that are no longer being used or that you would love to donate to the school, they would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
The class have had such a great time exploring sharks and life under the sea. Our learning has all been displayed on our wonderful 'under the sea' wall. Feel free to come in and have a look.
Check out these superb gymnastic skills from some of our young learners. The children really enjoyed exploring the gymnastics equipment.
A massive thank you to everyone who has kindly donated dressing up clothes to the class.
Dressing up is a form of imaginative play — and imaginative play boosts problem-solving and self-regulation skills. Our young learners can create situations and scenes and act out social events. They're able to test out new ideas and behaviors. Dress-up encourages creative thinking and communication skills and I can confirm that these costumes are ticking all of these boxes this morning!
