We continued with our sessions of shinty with Euan. They had great fun learning how to dribble and score.
Rosalind took us for our kodaly lesson on Tuesday with great fun learning about beat and rhythm.
We have been finishing our Scots alphabet posters and practising our sounds of the week. Everyone took part in our paired reading sessions and we can now read quietly to ourselves for 10 minutes. Great work!
We are learning about symmetry in patterns, pictures and outside in nature.Great delight was had with making symmetrical patterns with hama beads. We found one, two and even four lines of symmetry in our designs. Well done everyone!
We are have been learning about position this week in numeracy and created our own maps of the playground. Well done everyone!

As part of our mindfulness sessions the children have started their sit spot journals.
Finding a special place in the playground to take time to draw or write about what we see, hear, smell and feel lets us all take time to slow down!

On Tuesday we all enjoyed a visit and chat with Malcolm Smith from RHET and a local farm all about the journey of food from his farm to our plates. The pupils had lots of very interesting questions!
A great end to our food topic- we created our own smoothie recipes and made them in class. The pupils had four to choose from and they all had different favourites. Yummy!
